THE COMPANY
Working with an instantly recognisable successful company we are currently seeking a suitable individual to bring strong SQL Server 2005/2008 Development skills, from a management information or an information analysis environment. Ideally possessing previous experience of SSIS and SQL server reporting services. We are also seeking the individual to possess solid analytical and problem solving skills, using SQL and Excel to build and maintain KPI data whilst liaising with the other members of the team to ensure the data structure supports the building of reports and web applications.
THE ROLE
Specific requirements of the role include;
· Successful design, development, and implementation of new datasets.
· Ability to interpret business requirements and formulate design specification.
· Using a structured and managed approach throughout the project life cycle.
· Use standard programming techniques and conventions.
· Experience in managing small to medium IT projects.
· Look for opportunities to drive the business forward through the development of datasets and reporting.
· Extract data from company core systems to build KPI data.
· Creation of SQL scripts & SSIS packages to provide data to the MI reporting team.
· Creation of Ad-Hoc reporting, utilising MS Excel.
· Maintain existing databases. Look for process efficiencies through database optimisation.
· Develop systems and methodologies that drive efficiency without need for intensive workload management.
· Minimise the need for manual data manipulation.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
· Excellent skills in writing, maintaining, testing and debugging t-SQL code.
· SSIS.
· MS Excel.
· User requirements specification experience.
· Creates documentation to aid in others' learning
· SQL Server Reporting Services.
· Business Objects.
· Web Development.
· C# .NET, VB.NET.
· Experience using ACD technology.
· Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing.Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.
· Good financial disciplines.
· Experience of contact centre process and contact dynamics.
· Process Implementation or change management skills.
· User requirements specification and report design experience in a call centre environment.
